Photography

I originally began taking photographs solely for reference purposes but in time came to appreciate the possibilities and relative immediacy of the medium itself. I do very much enjoy the magic of digital cameras, but prefers the slower and more mindful practice of analog photography which requires patience, skill, and a certain amount of luck — especially in dealing with some of the cranky vintage cameras and formats I favors. Favorite subjects include spectacles such as circus and demoltion derby, quirky urban spaces, and the landscape of coastal Maine.
